How to care for your roses: Upon arrival remove all packaging except the plastic or cardboard packaging around the flower heads. Carefully remove thorns and any lower leaves on the stems that may fall below the water line. Cut stems diagonally approx 1 inch from the end under running water with a sharp knife. Place roses in clean, warm water (105 degrees F/40 degrees C) with floral preservative. It is normal for roses to appear sleepy or thirsty upon arrival and they need 24hrs to re-hydrate after their journey. You may remove the packaging around the heads after the roses have been in water for 4-6 hours. Keep flowers away from direct sunlight, drafts, excessive heat. Re-cut stems and refresh water every 1-2 days to help your roses flowers live long and beautifully.   TIP: Our roses are shipped with the outer guard petals still attached in order to protect the rose during shipping. As the flower opens, you may need to remove an average of 5-10 outer ‘guard’ petals on each rose.
